Diego Ley
Diego Ley is a member of the USA Fencing Association and a member of the United States Fencing Coaches Association
Coach Diego is a foil fencing coach with three years of experience in foil and sabre. As an active fencer, he continually hones his skills and deepens his understanding of technique and strategy, bringing this experience directly into his lessons. Above all, Coach Diego enjoys helping fencers of all ages develop their abilities, emphasizing both skill development and a commitment to safety and sportsmanship.
Having officiated and competed in tournaments across multiple states, Coach Diego has valuable firsthand insight into the demands of competitive fencing. As a lifelong athlete, he draws on his background in varsity football and track and field to instill agility, discipline, and physical fitness into every training session.
Coach Diego also has a passion for helping others outside of the salle. He has recently completed his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification and currently works as an EMT in El Paso and the surrounding communities. His medical training enhances his coaching approach by reinforcing a strong awareness of safety and overall well-being.
Whether he is working with beginners or more advanced fencers, Coach Diego is dedicated to ensuring each student receives the training they need to grow with confidence, integrity, and respect for the sport.
